A Partner at I.V. Merchant & Co. and an Advocate and Solicitor at the Bombay High Court, she has built her career in the rather demanding space where law, business and people tend to meet.
There is a certain practicality that comes with having spent years in that space. Problems rarely arrive neatly labelled. People bring their own expectations, businesses bring their own pressures, and the law sits somewhere in between, trying to make sense of all of it.
Dimple’s interests extend beyond the practice of law itself. She has been involved in professional and social initiatives, with a particular interest in the larger questions around the legal profession, leadership and women’s place within it.
It is this broader view of the profession that she brings to Clause.
